Edgeware Rd House Party, Enmore, 15th September, 2006

VENUE: House Party, Edgeware Rd, Enmore
DATE: Saturday, 15th September, 2006
TIME: Three-day party. Bands on the Saturday night.
OTHER: Adam Lindenfox's 30th birthday party.

BANDS:
ORAL HISTORY
ADAM: It was my 30th, which went for three days and had 10 bands in the backyard. Best fuckin' birthday party of my life. There were somewhere between 150 and 250 people over the course of the day but it spilled over into the next couple of days as well. It was all pretty wild. There was not much sleep but it was a great vibe. I was never a fan of amphetamines (having been diagnosed with ADD I understand why now, it never got me the high I was expecting or that I'd seen in other people) but I know I got very little sleep and had an absolute blast that weekend.

I sang in Rex Banner, The Signals and slapped together a three person version of Game Over with Dave and Paul. Loukas covered for Elton and Jared from Rex Banner played drums but didn't really learn the songs properly, which was totally fine because we were all pretty sideways at that point (but I know he felt bad). Don't worry Jared, I mangled two Game Over songs just last night (15th November, 2025) and was sober, haha.

The police were called but we convinced them it was a special occasion and they let us finish the set, which was very kind because it was fucking loud and I know the neighbours weren't having a great time.

Of the other bands:
  • The Pints were from Queensland.
  • Lungs - still the best melodic punk band Australia has ever seen (in my humble opinion).
  • ROFL - who were amazing.
  • Rock and Roll Weapon - who were fucking awesome and totally made my day. Their first EP is so fucking good.
  • Steppin' Razor - hey Dave and Andy and Luke! Sorry I was a shit housemate; I was an alcoholic madman.
  • Easy Company - who made me a singlet with a giant cock and hairy balls on it.
Troy set up a video feed from the backyard to the lounge room so people could watch inside and smoke bongs, etc., but I don't think it was able to record.

The photo collages are from Paul (Game Over) and his lovely wife Susanna - they gave them to me afterwards.
