SUMMARY: Miyagi was a short-lived punk band that formed out of the remains of two previous Ulladulla bands, Kimba and Jester. The band broke up when some members graduated high school and moved away.
ORAL HISTORY:
LOUKAS: We were in a small town with like ten people interested in playing punk, so there were a lot of permutations of those ten people in different bands over the years. Tim George, Tim Thomson and I wanted to do a band together so that's why we started Miyagi.

TIM G: We were all really close mates playing in various punk bands in Ulladulla High School and decided to start Miyagi together. We wrote a couple of songs and played some covers... I only remember playing one show but it might have been a couple.

LOUKAS: We played a few shows, I'd say under ten in total. We recorded one song that was on a South Coast youth bands comp.

LOUKAS: Like with Kimba, we hit the end of high school and three quarters of us moved away, and that's when the band stopped.
