VENUE: The Vulcan Hotel, Sydney
DATE: Saturday 27th August, 1994
BANDS:
- Propagandhi (Canada)
- All You Can Eat (USA)
- Lawnsmell
- Minute Minder
- Subversion
ORAL HISTORY:
"I
remember turning up to the show and being told it was cancelled because
someone snitched about the bands not having work visas or something.
They played a punx picnic instead if I remember correctly"
Jase, Noise Levels discussion, 2025
"There
was always a rumour that it was a jealous promoter that alerted
authorities. It was the day of the gig or close to it that the
authorities contacted the local promoters to tell them the foreign bands
couldn't play. The foreigners had already arrived if I'm remembering
correctly - the gigs went ahead without the international acts"
Clint Chapman, Noise Levels discussion, 2025
"A Feedback show was maybe held under the title or 'Sean's 21st' (Sean ran the No Deal record label who put the shows on) to possibly get around the work visa issue and then the punx picnic was the next day"
Dan Himbrechts, Noise Levels discussion, 2025
